History
Humble Beginnings
Our story didn't start in a boardroom; it began in the early 1970s at a local gas station in Orlando, Florida. It was there that William "Bill" Sterling Redmond (pictured, top right) first began hand-fabricating steel truck accessories with a simple commitment to durability. By 1976, that dedication to craftsmanship had sparked a demand that couldn't be ignored. From those humble beginnings, Sterling Equipment & Manufacturing of Central Florida Co., Inc. was born.
Three Generations. One Commitment.
In 1983, Peter Rogers (center) took the helm of Sterling Equipment, beginning a 40+ year journey of innovation and expansion alongside his sons. That legacy of craftsmanship evolved into a true family tradition. As of 2023, the role of owner has been passed to Peter’s eldest son, Wade (right). Today, Wade, his daughter Jenna (pictured, left), and his wife Lou carry forward the innovation and integrity that have defined Sterling for 50 years.

In today's fast-paced world, mass production reigns supreme. However, at Sterling Equipment, we pride ourselves on taking a more traditional approach which we refer to as upholding the “Sterling Standard”. We pour our hearts and souls into each and every product we create.
